Greg Mortenson

Last Thrusday I went to the Greg Mortenson speech at the school, along with like 2000 other people. I really liked his book because all this man wants to do is promote peace and help children in the middle east. Going into tthe gym i was expecting the speech to be boring because my friend had told me that he is a very shy speaker therefore making his speech's not so good. but i really liked him, he made us all laugh, the only thing i didn't like is that you can tell that he's said that speech so many times before he came to the fort. i was looking at videos on youtube and he said the same sentences but added some different things. Reading his book made me want to help others too. He just stumbled onto this little town called Korphe and he promsed them that he would build them a school. He also help build a bridge and a center for women. He listens and cares about those people and that's what i like about Greg Mortenson.

Part Two


Greg is very compassionate and helpful and i wish alot more people in the world were like him. I liked listening to his cause. It's crazy how much money was given to Pennies for Peace that night!
