McCain at DHS????

At around 9am today i get a text that says, "So ummm mccain is gonna be at dhs this friday nite" my response is, "what???". immediatly I google and sure enough he is. The admission is free, there's no need for tickets but you should RSVP for seats, first come first serve. I unfortunatly have to work. i dont wanna go to support McCain. i want to go to protest! i've never had the chance to vote and now that the republican canidate is coming i want to protest it. I've never even protested before but i think it would be fun and an experience to remember.

My friend Annie and I were talking about this and why would he go to Durango High School? wouldn't there be alot more room up at the fort? but annie said that McCain is too scared because Fort Lewis is a pretty liberal school. Which is true(the school being liberal part) i only know about 2 kids here that are voting for McCain. I have no idea if he's scared or not, but he should be...

Eva Mendes

tsk tsk tsk.. Eva Mendes is the Calvin Klein girl and in her most recent ad she exposed a nipple! The ad is banned from the US for its racy content. In the commercial shes naked and rolling on a bed and she shows her "ta-ta's". well.. one of them. But even the posters are a bit scandalous. I dont think its necessary for her to be naked in a perfume ad. It's way too sexual for young kids to look at. The 30 second video doesnt make sense to me and its way too much. I won't post it on here but its out there if you want to find it. want to learn more?

parmesan cheese

RECALLED! i work at Papa Murphy's and on friday night we had to pull our parmesan cheese from the shelves. We couldn't use it on a couple pizzas and on some salads. Here is why: "Presence of Listeria monocytogenes detected, which may cause illness in pregnant women, the very young, the elderly and people with low immune systems."



So now you know why you should eat parmesan cheese right now!

Heroes

The 3rd season i believe came out this fall and my roomate got me really into it. i didn't watch much of the first two seasons but its still entertaining. Its basically about these people who have supernatural powers who are trying to save the world or humanity itself. Some can fly, can make fire, can read your mind, can freeze things, and some have the power to regenerate. Claire is the cheerleader who can regenerate her cells. Hiro can time travel, manipulate time, and teleport. Syalr is my favorite character even though he is evil. He has intuitive aptitude which means he can learn new powers. This show is kind of complicated but i had my roomate fill me in on all that i missed. plus i saw some of season 2. It's a pretty sweet show because of the special affects. Every monday night at 8 i sit in front of the tele to watch this crazy show but i love it.

Max Payne

oh marky mark has made another movie! This friday Max Payne comes out and you can bet on me watching it that night. The movie is based off of the video game. i never played it but my boyfriend was telling me how it was one of his favorite games. I don't want to ruin the movie but its about Max's family was murdered and he's trying to find the murderer...in a nut shell. i wont go into detail. Of course the gorgeous Mark Wahlberg plays Max payne. Mila Kunis is also in it who stars in the 70's show and plays Megs voice in family guy; Ludacris is also in it and Jaime Hector who also is in Heroes <3. i hope im not dissapointed when i leave the theater, i doubt i will be. im so excited!!

O.J Simpson

First he was "innocent" for murdering his wife and her friend, then he wrote a book called "If I Did It" which is about how he killed his wife, hypothetically that is... and they can't put him back into court because of the doule jepardy law. So he gets away with murder then he is found guilty on 12 charges for robbery and kidnpapping. how stupid is this guy? wouldn't you think after he gets away with something once you wouldn't get away with it the second time? im glad this murderer is once and for all being put away forever.

movie ratings

I really liked This Film Is Not Yet Rated because he the movie showed every possible detail about the MPAA. Its rediculous that everyone wants to be anonymous and the only other group out there like that is the CIA. I didn't like how they choose the NC-17 rating over the R rating at times. I've seen some really gross stuff in a rated R movie like in the Scary Movie series and compare that to some of the scenes we saw in a NC-17 movie, its not that bad. I've actually never even seen a NC-17 movie because they don't usually make it the to the theater which sucks. Then the directors have to spend more time editing things out so they can get an R rating. and my favorite part was when they named everyone in the MPAA

Photoshop

I've never used Photoshop but its crazy that we can completely change how someone looks on this software. They retouch on everything! make eyes bigger, lips bigger, change how skin looks, they don't keep very much at all like how it used to look. Yeah, it looks better, but that's not how people really look, flawless all the time, that's not real. Every picture that goes into a magazine gets retouched and young girls all over the world look at this "beauty" that they see and its all fake. It's just frustrating to know that natural beauty isn't enough anymore.
